inspired her to create her eponymous fragrance and lifestyle line. A two-decade career working for some of the
biggest beauty houses in the world certainly didn’t hurt, either.
Veronique Gabai, the collection, is the epitome of luxury, with an array of products that spans fragrance, body, and
makeup, as well as jewelry, including an 18k gold or silver-plated pendant that houses a 2.5 mL version of her signature scents. Gabai the founder is equally impressive, as the former CEO of Vera Wang and former global
president of Aramis and Designer Fragrances at Estée Lauder. She utilized her expertise and years of traveling to
shape the line, which she says will share her version of growing up in the South of France. “My Côte d’Azur is a place made of humanism and hedonism, where the sun is like gold,” she explained via a brand statement. “Sunshine for the senses and for the soul: This is the promise of my brand.”
There are nine scents in the fragrance line, as well as two booster scents—Eau du Jour and Eau de la Nuit—that are
designed to be layered over one of the core nine to enhance its “brightness or mystery.” The others are inspired by local ora and fauna, as well as some of the most enjoyable warm-weather activities, like sipping a mimosa beachside or sunbathing nude, covered in sea salt (Sur la Plage, our favorite of the bunch).
Each is fragrant, long-lasting, and invokes an intense scent memory of carefree summer days, even if you’ve yet to
